Representatives, or any other government agency. "USCIS" and other names are used
only to describe the test the App helps you study for.
USCIS sets the official questions, accepted answers, eligibility rules, and test
versions, and these can change at any time. Always confirm current
requirements and materials at uscis.gov before relying on them — especially
close to your interview date.
Some answers depend on current officeholders — for example, the President,
the Vice President, the Speaker of the House, your state's governor, your U.S.
senators, and your U.S. representative. These change with elections and
appointments and may be out of date in the App. Verify current officeholders
before your interview.
CivicsPrep offers translations to support study in your language. Where a
translation is labeled "Unofficial translation," it was machine-generated, is
provided only as a study aid, and may contain errors. The official English
text is always authoritative. The actual civics test is administered in English
(unless you qualify for an exemption under USCIS rules).
When you choose to use your location, the App suggests your state and **U.S.
representative. These suggestions are best-effort** and rely on third-party
and government data that can be incomplete or wrong. **Please verify your state
and representative yourself** — for representatives, you can confirm at
house.gov.
Using CivicsPrep does not guarantee that you will pass the civics test or
achieve any particular immigration outcome. Your results depend on many factors
outside the App.
